In their own words, their menu depends on what is in season and "reflects (their) Skåne traditions and memories as much as (their) imagination and desire to innovate".

**2. Quan:** Located in the heart of Malmö, Quan is an Asian fusion restaurant combining Japanese, Chinese and broader East Asian cuisines with a twist. In their own words, it's "where the flavors of the Far East meet the tastes of Continental Europe". Their menu features dishes such as sashimi, tataki, Korean barbeque, and spicy shrimp tempura. Besides their food, Quan is well known for a amazing and wide selection of cocktails that ranges from smoky and spirit-forward drinks to fresh and floral. It leans heavily into Asian and Japanese influences, with bold flavors, and a clear sense of playfulness. If you're planning to visit Quan, make sure to book in advance as they are almost always fully booked.

**3. Escama:** Located in central Malmö, Escama is a Spanish gastrobar, known for its diverse tapas menu rooted in Mediterranean traditions. It offers a range of small dishes like grilled octopus, patatas bravas and tuna tartar, reflecting classic Spanish flavours. Their Entrecôte sandwich with Ruccola and Spanish Cheese is absolutely unmatched and they offer a great selection of both cocktails and mocktails. They have a lovely outdoor area, perfect for outdoor dining in the summer and spring.

**4. Kontrast Ghee by the sea:** Kontrast represents Indian cuisine in Malmö, and does a outstanding job at it. It's menu is built around well-spiced curries, biryanis, and classic North Indian dishes. Their Västra Hämnen location is located directly by the sea offering a great view and an amazing outdoor dining area. If you google "Best Indian restaurants in Copenhagen", you will find answers in some reddit threads saying "Just take the train to Malmö and go to Kontrast". That's how genuinely good Kontrast is. If you're in the mood for a drink, don't skip their mango mojito. Proper Indian food, amazing drinks, and a sea view; what more does one want in life.

**5. Dockside Burgers:** Located in Dockan by the harbor, Dockside serves some of the best, if not the best, burgers in Malmö. Their fries is unmatched and their fresh cheese dip is out of this world. It's an absolute must for a Malmö trip.

**6. Osteria Di Lá:** an Italian osteria in the cozy area of Davidshall in central Malmö. Osteria Di Lá serves classic Italy dishes built with seasonal, high-quality ingredients, including fresh pastas, house-baked bread, and some of the best wood-oven pizzas Malmö has to offer. Their Desserts are an absolute highlight as well, especially the tiramisu and the Nutella pizza, which needs no further explanation.

Your insurance company helps develop an overview of coverage, rights and possible emergency housing options, while your home is getting rebuilt, cleaned and prepared for moving back home! Here the process of finding temporary accommodation, so that daily life can continue even with an uninhabitable home.

**What does emergency housing mean and when is it relevant?**
 &nbsp;

Emergency housing is relevant, if the police and fire department assesses that the home is unlivable after the fire. If the assessment shows that the house is uninhabitable, emergency housing is relevant. The purpose of emergency housing is to have a safe place to live, while restoration is ongoing.

**There are two types of emergency housing:**
 &nbsp;

**1. Furnished apartment**: The name describes this well. Here you arrive at a fully furnished apartment. No need to think about furniture, kitchen appliances etc. In a fully furnished apartment there is however a lack of service. In a furnished apartment ongoing and endcleaning is not included. In general a worse experience with a lack of ongoing support.

**2. Serviced and furnished apartment**: A convenient solution, where you can move in directly with only your most precious belongings. This can and should be resolved within a few hours after the fire. A serviced apartment offers regular cleaning, endcleaning and maintenance duties. Additionally, there is ongoing support from the provider that helps make your life easier. You get a mix of support and comfort that enables you to continue your life style, despite the circumstances.

**When should you contact your insurance company? And what do they cover?**
 &nbsp;

After a fire it is important to contact your insurance company as soon as possible, optimally the same day. Quick contact ensures correct documentation and faster help for emergency housing. 

 &nbsp;


Usually it is the home insurance that covers fire damage and expenses of emergency housing. If you don’t have a home insurance, you are liable for the expenses, except if you live in an almen bolig.

 &nbsp;

In public accommodation, emergency housing is regulated by the The Danish Non-Profit Housing Act, that gives the tenant right to temporary or permanent emergency housing, if the residence is uninhabitable.

**Do you need to arrange emergency housing yourself, and which opportunities do you have?**
 &nbsp;

If you need to arrange emergency housing yourself is usually dependent on the insurance company, assessor and the extent of the situation. In some cases, your assessor reach out to providers of emergency housing. In other cases the insurance company or assessor will let sorting out the housing be up to you, as long as you have an indbosforsikring the expenses are still covered by the insurance company despite you reaching out. Even though the insurance company often assists in finding emergency housing, you are not restricted to the options they provide. You always have the right to search for a temporary home yourself, if you believe there is a solution that better meets your needs. Finding housing on your own can be an advantage if you want greater control over where you stay and the facilities available to you. Insurance companies are still to accept the housing solution, but in many cases they would accept your suggestion, if the accommodation falls within the parameters they normally operate within.

You also have the option of not moving to the classic emergency housing. Some choose to instead live with friends or family in the period, where the home is uninhabitable. In such a situation you would typically receive the economic compensation of the emergency housing amount.

**Which requirements should emergency housing meet?**

You have the right for your emergency housing living up to certain requirements. The accommodation must have similar quality and facilities, and ideally the same number of rooms as your previous home.
In addition, the temporary housing should, whenever possible, be located in the same area as your original home, so that your daily life is affected as little as possible. All of this is arranged jointly with the housing provider and the insurance company.

## Gamla Staden is Malmö’s old town (which is also a direct translation). It’s known for its classic Scandinavian streets, abundance of cafés and restaurants on every block, beautiful squares, and its proximity (5-7 minutes walk) to Malmø’s central station. If you want everything at your doorstep from museums to churches to restaurants and bars, this is the most practical (and fanciest) area to stay in.

## Davidsall
Right beside the city center, you will find Davidshall, a lovely neighborhood in Malmö that is calm, stylish, and a little bit artsy without trying too hard. The streets are lined with amazing restaurants from all over the world, small cafés, wine bars, vintage stores, and independent boutiques. Here you will get that “nice to walk around” feeling without the tourist crowding you get in the old town. The trade-off here is that the evenings can feel quiet and there’s not as many attractions at your doorstep as you would find in the old town.

Västra Hamnen

Next on the list of Malmö’s neighborhoods is Västra Hamnen, known for its clean, quiet, and modern vibes, and ocean views. It’s perfect for families, visitors who want quiet, ocean views, scenic walks, and sunsets. It’s also worth mentioning that Västra Hamnen is more “visit worthy” in the summer. The cons of staying in Västra Hamnen is its lack of nightlife, its distance from the city center (25-30 minutes walk), and basically the lack of life in the evening.

Möllan
&nbsp;

On the far end of the spectrum from the quiet life in Västra Hamnen is Möllan, originally a working class neighborhood that has since transformed into an alternative, multicultural and hip area. Möllan is chaotic, crowded, full of life, and impossible to ignore. In Möllan, the food is cheap, the bars stay open late, and the music is loud. While Möllan might not be as pretty or polished as the center of Malmö, this is the place to be if you are looking for energy.

Limhamn

The last neighborhood on our list is Limhamn, the charming coastal neighborhood known for its stunning views of the Oresund bridge where you can watch the ships go by and enjoy the sunsets. • Another amazing option is Porto Gastrobar. Porto blends European and Mediterranean influences and uses mainly locally sourced ingredients. Their offering ranges rom seafood and premium steaks to vegetarian and vegan-friendly options. However, if I were you, I would not skip their paella, one of the best, if not the best Malmö has to offer.

• If you are in the mood for some Lebanese or Mediterranean food, Laziza on  Baltzarsgatan is one of the best lunch restaurants in Malmö with an open buffet and an impressive range of alternatives.

• You can take a walk around Östra Förstadsgatan (a long pedestrian street also known as gågatan) and Davidshall for some shopping. There is a lot of independent stores and vintage shops around these two areas.

 There is unlimited amount of options for dinner around Gamla Staden.

• Another option is Marie Antoinette on Drottningtorget, again within a few minutes walk from the old town and the central station. They focus on well-executed small and medium dishes with international and Scandinavian influences that you share with your table. They are also well-known for fresh flavors, seasonal vegetable, and refined mains like entrecôte or fish. Besides their food and drinks, Marie Antoinette is famous for interior design that really stands out.

**Day 2:** Spend your second day outside the city center, walk through a few local neighborhoods, visit the sea and let the city take you along, and finish your day with a nice meal and a drink by the water.

• After your trip to Möllan, you can bike or talk a walk towards Ribersborgsstranden (Ribban), Malmö’s main city beach, located just west of the center and popular for seaside walks, swimming in summer, and open views of the Öresund bridge.

• Optional visit to Kallbadhuset if you are into cold baths and sauna culture. It is a classic Malmö experience, jumping into the sea and warming up in the sauna afterward.

• In Västra Hämnen, you can also visit the Turning Torso from the outside, one of the tallest buildings in Sweden and Malmö's most recognizable landmark.

If you are still enjoying the Västra Hämnen area by the water front, there is many amazing food options around the area:

• Kontrast by the sea: Kontrast serves some of the best food in Malmö and their outdoor dining area is unmatched in a summer evening. You will be having some amazing Indian food with the sun setting on the water and Copenhagen on the other side. It doesn't get better than that.

• Another amazing option is Porto Gastrobar. Porto blends European and Mediterranean influences and uses mainly locally sourced ingredients. Their offering ranges rom seafood and premium steaks to vegetarian and vegan-friendly options. However, if I were you, I would not skip their paella, one of the best, if not the best Malmö has to offer.

We have designed it to be a once-size fits all kind of thing, where you can instantly source live apartments with total flexibility, book, customize your stay, digitally sign agreements (where needed), validate your ID and pay your initial invoices directly in your booking flow. 

&nbsp;

You don't need to login, create a user, send a request, "request-to-book", wait for confirmation, "get in touch with reservations" (... name your favorite stopping factor when booking stuff): We have paved the way, to empower you to complete everything with laptop in lap - or from your phone while waiting somewhere - at all times during the day at all times during the week. 

 &nbsp;

We have also developed and deployed an AI agent. Yes, it is a robot, but a very nice robot. We named her Eve. (Funny side-story; Our (human) Client Manager is named Eva actually, but Eve - being a robot and all - is named after awesome, trouble-shooting Eve from Wall-E). Eve is awake 24/7 to answer questions and support all You would-be-clients with whatever question you may have before deciding to book accommodation with us. She is fairly clever already, but will become smarter as we teach her new tricks. Right now, Eve is trained to answer "kicking-tire"-questions and a bit later on she will also be able to suggest suitable accommodation-options depending on your preferred destination, accommodation type and your preferred dates. So ask her anything and she should be your champion (.. if not, we still have supernice - and "real" - people ready to assist inside normal office hours).

Pricing has been made dynamic as well, so the longer you want to stay with us, the cheaper it is and vice-versa. This should give you all the flexibility you need and it will also provide you with real time, live inventory: What you see is what you get. You are not getting "a comparable" option; you are getting exactly what you see and book.
