The South Harbour or Sydhavn (in Danish) used to be one of the main industrial ports in Copenhagen. In Sydhavn the water canals carve its way through the modern properties. It is a city within the city – a true oasis with cafes, grocery-shopping, schools and daycare-centres right at hand. The Inner City or Indre By (in Danish) has everything one would expect from a city centre such as restaurants, malls, the shopping high-street, cafes, night life, vibrance and so on. The Inner City is riddled with history and you’ll find most of Copenhagen’s landmarks and tourist attractions here.  Go see the the old ramparts and battlements in Kastellet, the King´s Residence in Amalienborg Castle, have a beer in Nyhavn or go to Strøget and give your credit card a beating.

Inner Amager and Christianshavn used to be a vital part of Copenhagen’s inner naval defense. One should go see the old ramparts and navel bases along the harbour line. In the mid-1900’s the industrial ports of Amager held one of the major shipyards in Denmark, making the area an important part of the country’s maritime history. Today, Amager and Christianshavn are hip and trendy neighbourhoods, as the area has been gracefully developed with modern buildings. Go see the Freetown of Christiania, have a swim in Islands Brygge or go to the beach at Amager Strandpark.

Vesterbro is one of the hottest neighbourhoods in Copenhagen. It has become the home of the Copenhagen cultural elite and hip young families. Probably because it has something for every taste. If you are the outdoorsy type you can take a long walk through the Tivoli Gardens or enjoy the sun at Sønder Boulevard. If you enjoy trying new restaurants The Meatpacking District is definitely the right place to go. And if you are just looking for a nice cup of coffee and some cosy speciality shops, go for a walk on Værnedamsvej.

During the late 1800’s, the urban population grew rapidly meaning that working class quarters shot up outside the Inner City - and Nørrebro was one of these quarters. Also, during the 1960’s and 70’s a shortage in the Danish labour force led to a vast amount of migrant workers coming to Copenhagen - and a lot of them settled in Nørrebro. Today, Nørrebro is a hip, youthful and multicultural neighbourhood. Go for a run around the Copenhagen Lakes, have a great bistro dinner at Skt. Hans Torv, or explore a fantastic selection of Middle Eastern and Asian specialties from the many local merchant-shops.

Valby is a residential and family-friendly area with lots of parks, shops and cafes. Valby is currently being gracefully developed with new modern apartments and corporate buildings. In Carlsberg Byen, the old meets the new. One can see the historical headquarters and production facilities of the Danish brewing giant Carlsberg, as well as modern housing towers currently being constructed and finalised.

Frederikberg is a sovereign municipality with borders to Vesterbro, Nørrebro and Valby. Frederiksberg is a family-friendly and residential area with lots of recreational offers such as the zoo, public swimming pools, sports centres etc. Go for a run in Søndermarken or have a picnic in Frederiksberg Have. Go to the zoo, have a nice lunch in Frederiksberg Allé or grab a cold beer in Allégade.

Hellerup is an upscale neighbourhood situated north of Copenhagen, where Østerbrogade turns into the exclusive costal road Strandvejen. The old industrial harbour in Odense has undergone an impressive transformation during the last couple of years. From old shipyards and granaries the area has transformed into residential properties, food markets, restaurants and lots of other recreational offers. Plus, only a five-minute walk will take you to the central train station in the inner city - making it the perfect location to live and enjoy.

Odense Midtown is a neighbourhood just south of the city centre. The area has a lot of cosy residential clusters and you are close to a lot of Odense's malls as well as other shopping options. Odense Midtown also houses the University of Southern Denmark, the Science Park and is further home to a lot of Odense's corporations. There is also speedy access to different parts of infrastructure leading in and out of the city.

Northwest of Copenhagen lies the cosy and bustling suburb of Lyngby. Lyngby has everything you need: Good infrastructure, good schools, recreational offers - you name it. Lyngby also has a super cosy high street with restaurants, cafes and shops and a lot of the large Danish corporations have their HQ in Lyngby.

The district of Risskov is sometimes referred to as Vejlby-Risskov, as it's a merge of the old Risskov neighbourhood and the neighbourhood of Vejlby. The old neighbourhood of Risskov at the seaside of Aarhus Bay is one of the most prosperous areas in Denmark and offers several beach options for sunny days. The name of the area, however, derives from the small nearby forest called Riis Skov, of which parts were given to the city of Aarhus by Margaret I of Denmark as the first public forest in Denmark. Today the forest is a well-known destination for families and couples to spend a day out in nature.

20 minutes north of Copenhagen is the leafy coastal area of Charlottenlund, the suburb has a delightful small little beach, ideal during a sunny weekend. And a little farther north is Charlottenlund Slot, an elegant castle with peaceful garden surroundings, perfect for picnics.

Limhamn is a nice residential neighborhood in southern Malmö. It is centred around the old harbour front - now an emerging residential neighbourhood - and the old town of Limhamn which has great shopping options, restaurants etc. The International School of Malmö is located in this neighbourhood and only a short commute will take you to inner Malmö in about 10 minutes. Along Limhamnsvägen you will find a ton of recreational offers such as the golf club and Ribersborgs Kallbadhus to name a few. A great location balancing a peaceful neighbourhood with convenience and charm.

Aarhus Nord is located north of the city centre, as the neighbourhood's name might give away. The area is the highest lying area in the city of Aarhus. In fact, many of the surrounding neighbourhoods in the district were once small, separated farms and settlements which later developed and merged with the rest of Aarhus. The area has plenty of public transport options, with several bus lines and a light rail it offers everything you need to get around in the city.
